The 24-hour, 365-day-a-year concept developed by American company Anytime Fitness clearly reflects 21st Century lifestyles, since they have become the world’s largest health chain in just 13 years. Introduced into Australia in 2008 by brother and sister team Justin and Jacinta McDonell, the continent now enjoys well over 400 clubs and it is both Australia’s biggest health chain and the largest group of Anytime clubs outside of the USA. Unsurprisingly, the rapidly growing numbers of staff has meant a brand new head office in Sydney.

Designed by the in-house teams who usually assist new franchisees, the space features a neutral palette and lots of natural-toned timber planks, with a character grade brushed and matt lacquered Midi product on the floors and a similarly toned brushed select grade oversized herringbone as vertical timber cladding. Australia has rapidly embraced the herringbone parquet pattern, often with a twist by using it on the walls or even the ceiling.
