Hipwell Haus, a once-empty century-old structure, underwent a stunning transformation under the creative direction of Tim Neve. Known for his mastery of warm neutrals, Neve blended modern elements with the building’s historic charm to create a captivating home and studio.
Under the creative direction of interior stylist and designer Tim Neve, Hipwell Haus is a striking transformation of a century-old building into a dynamic family home and studio. Blending heritage charm with contemporary flair, the project is a testament to Tim’s signature style - where dynamic textiles, unique furniture and spatial design come together in perfect harmony.
The project began with stripping the interior and understanding what original elements were essential to retain, such as exposed brick, high ceilings, and the large proportions of certain rooms. This was combined with carefully considered design choices—limewash walls, boucle bench seating, arched doorways, pendant lighting, and earthy tones—to create a home that makes a statement while remaining inviting and comfortable.
Tim Neve skilfully mixed various materials within the project but tied them all together through a consistent use of warm colours and abundant texture, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious design. Havwoods Bellmore timber flooring from the Luxe Collection was selected for its dramatic appeal and deep, rich tone, complementing the darker hues throughout the space while providing a grounding element.
By blending warm, rich tones and layered textures, the result is a home that is a feast for the senses - one that radiates a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, capturing the essence of Tim Neve’s refined yet playful design philosophy.
