“With each one of our homes being a one-off design, the specification of each can allow us the use of interesting materials. It is this part of the design process that we enjoy with our clients. Collaborating on the most exciting way to incorporate these unique and creative finishes.
A client in North Curl Curl had a love of industrial and reclaimed products. This saw the inclusion, in their home, of polished concrete floors, reclaimed bricks and rusting coreten steel. To complement all of these industrial features, we specified Havwoods Genuine Reclaimed Barn Oak engineered timber flooring in a number of key areas. The use of the timber planks, whilst providing striking features, also gave the home the warmth that it needed to complement the industrial feel. The grandest of these features was a 2.4m wide barn style sliding door that allowed the closure of the formal lounge area, whilst adding a striking feature to the homes entry foyer.
Working with a quality engineered timber product allowed the end result to exceed even our own high expectations. It has also given our clients the timeless and authentic looking home that will be enjoyed for years to come.”
