Founded in 2017, Pera is a premium luggage and suitcase retail outlet located in several Melbourne locations. To assist in the design of the Glen Shopping Center outlet, their tenth store opening, Pera reached out to the dynamic team at S2DIO-X Architects.

The initial brief called for the design to stay true to the originally selected colour and finishes – black, brass and timber. To infuse a layer of individualism and creativity, S2DIO-X Architects cleverly incorporated the ‘light + strong’ concept behind the iconic Samsonite slogan.
Starting with the timber flooring, Havwoods EP124 Hawthorn from the Urban living range, provided the perfect foundation to build upon the ‘light + strong’ concept. We see black and gold metal finishes alongside a midnight inspired ceiling and feature wall, all of which beautifully complement the timber finishes. Myriad mirrors artfully placed throughout the store, delicately reflect light and create the impression of a larger and more inviting space.
