Tse House, renovated by Bull & Bear Projects, masterfully blends historical elements with contemporary design. Initially envisioned as a light and airy extension, the project transformed into a striking space defined by bold design choices. The selection of dark timber flooring, specifically Havwoods’ Croydon Plank, became a pivotal element, linking the home’s past and present.
Tse House by Bull & Bear Projects is a masterful renovation that seamlessly bridges the past and present. What began as a vision for a light and airy extension evolved into a striking transformation, where bold design choices redefined the home’s character. Central to this evolution was the selection of dark timber flooring, which became the anchor that connected old to the new.
The decision to embrace deeper tones was first inspired by the choice of Havwoods’ Croydon timber flooring from the V Collection, creating a refined foundation for the space.
In an unexpected turn, the kitchen was transformed into the showpiece of the renovation, with its rich and sophisticated modern Japandi palette. Laminex Green Slate cabinetry and textile textures introduced a bold contrast that complemented the home’s heritage features while feeling distinctly modern.
The hallway, a breathtaking focal point, showcases the Croydon Plank as a hero element. Framed by timber panelling painted in a stunning green hue, roman brass hardware, restored arches, and newly installed sky domes, the space exudes character and depth. The dark timber seamlessly links the home’s original charm with its contemporary extension, proving that embracing change can lead to extraordinary results.
Tse House is a testament to the power of adaptive design and the impact of high-quality materials in shaping timeless spaces.
