Amid the high-rises of Sydney’s CBD, Smart Design Studio took on the challenge of delivering daylight in the city through the clever restoration and transformation of a 9-storey heritage listed sandstone building into a light-filled, functional and award-winning workplace design.

This unique family home located on a small 120m2 block in South Melbourne, has been cleverly designed to take advantage of the beautiful view over Melbourne and deliver modern and minimalist interiors that give a subtle nod to the family's traditional country upbringing. Part of a modern institution with a long and distinguished history, Middle Temple is one of the four Inns of Court which houses chambers from which barristers practise. Nestled in the centre of London, this Wandsworth property has recently been renovated into a stunning modern Victorian home suitable for a young and busy family. Situated just a short walk from the thriving Oxford Circus underground station, this elegantly designed art deco building dates back to the 1930s and was originally built for the garment industry. It has now been exceptionally renovated into a bright contemporary office and is renowned for its attractive glass pavilion entrance. 

The feature floor shown here uses three prime grade, oversized herringbone blocks, Fresco, Blanco and Fendi in the newly refurbished Ted Baker store in Kuwait and was specified after they fitted Blanco planks in their UK offices.
