The brief was to refurbish and maximise the space, concentrating on creating an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area - while giving the rest of the apartment a refresh.
The scheme was inspired by Scandinavian design, so it was important for the space to look warm and inviting as well as characterful and modern. The flooring was one of the most important design decisions in the project and sets the mood and style of the entire apartment. The designers opted for Havwoods’ Columba Select boards for their combined quality, warmth and beauty.
The soft finish of the wood and the popular herringbone design perfectly enhances each room in the home, working well with the angular layout – drawing the eye to the views of the River Thames from the moment guests step through the door.
The honey toned boards create a seamless flow across the property. It’s all about guiding the eye and introducing layers of quiet neutrals alongside a variety of interesting textures. Working beautifully with vibrant colour palettes, the boards bring warmth, natural beauty and a sense of cosiness to the space.
