Founded in 1983, Dimension Data is now a USD 8 billion global leader in designing, managing and optimising today’s evolving technology environments. Located in Verde SW1, a state-of-the-art, office-led redevelopment in the heart of London’s Westminster, Dimension Data’s new premises were designed to cement the company’s presence in the UK market with a strategic hub in the capital.

The brief was appointed to Modus, a leading name in office design and commercial planning, who were tasked with creating an open-plan office space that housed the company’s workforce and Executive Committee members in an inspiring and motivating environment. Looking to Havwoods as the supplier of the project’s under-foot surfaces, Modus opted for the Fendi engineered oak planks from the Venture Plank collection to cover the floors throughout. Spanning the office’s meeting room suite, open-plan workspace, breakout area and reception, this high-performance board provided a hardwearing floor covering designed to withstand the daily footfall that comes with an office environment. 

The design’s characterful finish provided interest and texture that flowed from room to room, creating a space that was unified in design. This was complemented alongside characterful touches such as Havwoods’ Urania mosaic cladding, which shrouded the wall behind the Dimension Date reception desk, and a series of engaging artwork from South African artist, William Kentridge.
