The brief was to create a high-quality workspace for staff and business partners to engage and collaborate in a sophisticated and elegant environment. The angular nature of the building influenced the design of the office, resulting in Oktra designing curved architecture to counterbalance the building’s sharp angles and enhance the flow of the spaces. Details like the curved Crittall glass walls with reeded glass create privacy between the rooms, while ensuring the design remains welcoming, open and functional. 

At the heart of the office is the tea point area where Havwoods’ Amalgama Herringbone flooring has been used for strategic zoning instead of physical partitions. Defined by its distinctive herringbone design, this area establishes its own identity while still complementing the colour scheme and materials in the rest of the office. The planks add welcome warmth into a space without windows, bringing a touch of the outdoors, indoors. 

The feature wall creates a focal point in the space to draw the eye in, whilst the soft sage green cabinets and textured flooring create a softness and clean aesthetic to the room to ensure it is a professional space to relax in. Functionality remained a priority, so the 2-layered construction of the planks means the flooring is hardwearing and durable, resulting in an easy to maintain flooring solution for this busy office space.
