The custom Bestevaer 62 ‘Luskentyre’ sailing yacht, with hybrid propulsion system, was built by KM Yacht Builders for a couple in the UK.

After sailing with a composite yacht for many years, the couple wanted a stronger and sturdier option to explore more remote locations.
With 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, an open plan kitchen-diner and plenty of additional seating, the interior places wood and functionality at the centre of its design. From the furniture to the kitchen cabinets and the floors, the beautiful detailing of wood runs throughout, resulting in a cohesive scheme.
Adding to the cosy and traditional aesthetic, the builders opted for the Beck Rustic 1-Strip planks from Havwoods’ Relik range to run throughout the interior.
The reclaimed engineered boards are smoky grey in colour and tactile in texture, offering plenty of personality and interest to the yacht. The construction of the boards means they will not rot or warp in high moisture environments – ideal for a boat – and are easy to wipe clean meaning minimal maintenance.
