The upmarket bakery chain GAIL’s recently opened in Solihull’s town centre after much anticipation. The popular bakery has garnered a reputation for its artisanal breads, pastries, assorted baked goods, and hearty meals, preferring to establish a presence in affluent neighbourhoods and therefore ensuring its popularity.
The open-plan layout, soft lighting and warm, neutral tones set the mood for a safe, cosy yet sophisticated environment, whilst the plants which have been thoughtfully incorporated throughout, add a fresh and natural element to the space.
A key design feature is the light wood flooring that flows seamlessly throughout the space. The client opted for Havwoods’ Knightsbridge V Collection for its pale finish, which they felt provided a warm and organic foundation, brightening the interior, while maintaining a grounded, earthy feel.
The wood’s subtle grain patterns add texture and depth, enhancing the overall aesthetic without overpowering the space. The light wood floor complements the bakery’s simple wooden tables and chairs which emphasises the company’s connection to natural materials.
