Nestled in the British countryside, Green Farm Barn is a spacious, cosy and rustic retreat. Boasting plenty of natural light, high ceilings and classic period features, the homeowners wanted to create a warm and welcoming space for themselves and guests.
Running throughout the large open-plan living area, Havwoods’ Roanne Herringbone boards from the Pureplank collection were chosen for their warmth, texture and honey colourway. The planks add plenty of pattern and detail to the room, which remains pared-back and neutral.
Wood remains a key feature of the home’s aesthetic, so the flooring needed to pair with the wooden staircase and original exposed beams which are set against bright white walls. The soft, yellow undertones contrast beautifully with the dark beams whilst remaining in keeping with the rest of the interior, while other features such as the wood burning stove and striking pendant lights help to highlight the tall ceilings.
