The Wishful Thinker, Maidstone

Havwoods was chosen to supply the flooring and cladding in the dining area, as well as the cladding in the hallway and bedrooms, providing wood that not only delivers aesthetic appeal and an authentic feel but is also a durable, hardwearing option. 

To contribute to the heritage and rich history of the pub, Havwoods’ Flume Planks from the Boutique collection were chosen to add character and charm with reclaimed wood. The light and dark honey tones feel warm and grounding, adding a sense of authenticity and cosiness. The natural texture of the Genuine Reclaimed Solid wood creates a connection to the outdoors which brings a soothing and relaxed vibe to the dining space. Eurus Veneer Planks from the Vertical collection were also chosen as cladding in the dining area on the cabinets below the open kitchen window, adding a beautiful visual contrast to the flooring with its variations in colour and rustic edge.  

Following through to the hallway and bedrooms, Havwoods' Notus Planks from the Vertical collection were chosen for the panelling, continuing the country and cosy feel throughout the pub. The Smokey Grey colourway complements the warm furnishings and glowing light fixtures, enhancing the inviting atmosphere. The unfinished, natural appearance of the planks adds depth and texture while evoking a tranquil and welcoming ambience for guests to enjoy.
