In the lively district of Wandsworth, South London, lies this residential family home on Grandison Road. This project was completely renovated, with a basement developed to provide additional room and improved flow for a busy growing family.
Studio Ogee had a brief to design a scheme that was layered and modern, with depth and appeal whilst still being functional and relaxing. With this in mind, Studio Ogee chose Havwoods to supply its Fendi Chevron flooring from the Venture Plank collection for its quality, exquisite polish, and its rich natural wood tones.
The use of the chevron pattern from the hallway into the sitting and dining area creates a dynamic flow and adds interest and richness to the space, blending both traditional and modern design. The smoky grey colourway evokes a sense of warmth and elegance upon entering, complementing the contemporary and vintage furnishings, combined with layers upon layers of artefacts and art, adding drama and detail.
In the basement, Fendi wide long planks were selected to define the length of the room. More relaxed than the ground floor, a character grade was selected that perfectly complements the furnishings and function of the space.
