Meet Leonard Bricknell

In our People Behind the Scenes series, we’re thrilled to introduce Leonard Bricknell, Havwoods’ Finance Manager. As one of our longest-serving team members (he’s keeping his start date a secret!), Leonard is a cornerstone of the Havwoods Family.
Over the years, Leonard has taken on various roles within the company and currently works as a Finance Manager for Havwoods UK. His responsibilities include managing financial planning, budget analysis, and month-end accounts. Leonard shares: ‘My role is incredibly varied. One part of my work is continuously improving procedures and controls across all areas of the business, which is both challenging and rewarding.’
When asked about what it’s like to work at Havwoods, Leonard highlights the company’s exceptional culture: ‘What I enjoy most about Havwoods is the fantastic workplace environment where everyone is motivated in their role. The company values and supports its staff, ensuring we all bring our best every day. Our newly renovated HQ in Carnforth has been a wonderful upgrade, and I also love our new staff uniforms - they add to the team spirit and everyday culture.’
Leonard’s favourite product at Havwoods is the Elegante Veneers. Leonard says: ‘This exciting addition to our wood surface range is perfect for enhancing both commercial and residential spaces. They’re genuine wood panelling products and have quickly become a huge hit with our customers!’
