Beachfront Town Houses, Rhosneigr

Rhosneigr is a charming village situated on the stunning west coast of Anglesey. With the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia National Park and the Lleyn Peninsular as a backdrop, and a wild and wonderful coastline comprising of soaring cliffs and miles of sandy beaches, it’s wonderful scenery recently attracted the attention of 2012 Contractor of the Year developers Russell construction. Their proposed development of contemporary, high-specification three-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom town houses called for large patio and decking areas to make the most of the beachfront location, but the wild climate conditions which make a life in this location such an attractive proposition are simply too tough for traditional wood decking planks. Endura, from Havwoods, features a traditional decking appearance but is made from high-grade recycled polythene mixed with bamboo fibres and provided the optimum solution. It is anti-slip, fade- and stain-resistant and essentially maintenance-free; and it suffers none of the problems associated with either wood composites (water absorption which leads to rotting) or plastics (which undergo changes in extremes in temperature).
